Digital Maturity Assessment
Smart companies integrate technology and data seamlessly into their business processes. This allows them to work more efficiently, respond better to customer needs and increase their agility in a rapidly changing market. How far along is your company with this? The digital maturity assessment provides insight.
The road to digital maturity
Finding the right approach and tools for digitalisation is a major challenge for many companies. As a result, manufacturing companies are not reaping the full benefits when it comes to digital transformation. Yet digital maturity is becoming increasingly important for organisations striving for operational excellence. By strategically embracing digitalisation, companies can not only increase efficiency, but also strengthen their market position and prepare for future challenges.
Therefore, it is essential to approach digital transformation not only as a technology upgrade, but as a broader change within the organisation. The level of digital maturity is determined not only by technology, but also by corporate culture, strategy and processes.

Discover your company's digital maturity
When assessing your company's digital maturity, it is therefore important to look at other factors.
To go through a successful digital transformation, an open company culture is essential. It is important to encourage employees to adopt new technologies and develop their skills to embrace new innovations and changes.
In addition, a clear strategy is needed to guide the impact of new digital initiatives on the organisation in line with business goals and customer needs. Implementing these strategies effectively requires efficient and flexible business processes. These should optimise existing processes and support the implementation of new ones.
Digital Maturity therefore goes beyond technology. It is about the extent to which your organisation is able to integrate digital transformation into all business aspects. By evaluating different dimensions, your organisation can assess its current state of digital maturity and develop strategies to grow further.
The Digital Maturity Model
The digital maturity model is a tool that helps assess an organisation's current digital maturity. Emixa deploys the model to provide insight into your organisation's digital maturity through a maturity assessment.
The assesment gives a holistic picture of all processes relevant on the shop floor, including activities on the shop floor itself and supporting processes such as receiving goods, production planning, as well as quality control with OEE measurements.
The broad focus allows us to create a complete picture of your production environment and implement improvements that strengthen your business results.
This assesment consists of the following phases.
1. On-site visit
We start with an on-site visit to observe and understand the current working methods. This provides a clear picture of the processes and challenges, which are then discussed with stakeholders.
2. Structuring findings
3. Cause-and-effect analysis
The findings are analysed and converted into a cause-effect chain. This provides insight into underlying causes, such as incomplete coordination with logistics or incorrect use of planning tools.
4. Improvement Proposals
Based on the cause-effect analysis, we make both short-term and long-term proposals to optimise business processes with practical solutions that directly improve efficiency and effectiveness on the shop floor.
5. Ranking
We rank the proposals based on impact and feasibility. We then use a pain-gain matrix to determine which improvements should be implemented first to achieve the greatest impact.
6. Validation and Presentation
FAST digital maturity assessment
To effectively guide digital transformation, Emixa uses the FAST approach, a project methodology designed to assess your organisation's current digital maturity. It identifies the optimal path to data-driven processes and sets out concrete steps to achieve this transformation. Our FAST approach consists of four phases:
Fact finding: Setting goals and identifying the current maturity level in areas such as capacities, culture and systems.
Assessment: Evaluate existing data, systems, mindset and knowledge to identify areas for improvement.
Solution blueprint: Developing a blueprint for processes, decisions, IT & data architecture and organisational structure.
Transformation planning: Preparation of a detailed plan for effective transformation implementation.
Our FAST approach is based on Emixa's S-BOS model, aimed at aligning strategy, processes, organisation and systems. During each phase, we gather valuable insights to develop a tailor-made plan with a clear implementation roadmap for your organisation.
