Who’s it for?

This course provides an understanding of the tools available, and methodologies needed to create associative links between designed parts. This process speeds up the design and development phases and demonstrates that when WAVE is used properly, it can single-handedly save you time, boring repetition and build in greater levels of intelligence to your modelling practices. WAVE is suited to numerous applications such as: 

• Multistage manufactured parts 

• Industrial design applications where A surface data is managed separately from the engineered model. 

• For “what if” studies where multiple iterations of a design take place. 

• For the creation of handed components 

• For consumption of a master skeleton model which is linked to numerous components 

• When using top-down modelling techniques to provide context and reference data. 

As well as providing tools to create WAVE links, NX WAVE also provides access to a comprehensive set of tools to maintain, manage and update WAVE links. 

*Note* NX WAVE is split between two licenses (basic and advanced). Whilst the basic WAVE license is provided in standard NX license bundles, only the advanced WAVE control license will provide access to all the WAVE control and management tools.
