How VORM Got in Control of Its Projects

The 105-year-old VORM is a top player in construction and development. The company wants to work smarter with suppliers and maintain control over costs, all working with a relatively small team. VORM wants to implement a new ERP system to support these developments. This is a big change for the company. Can Emixa support a successful go-live and ensure all teams adopt this new way of working?

Business Challenges

The 105-year-old VORM is a top player in construction and development. Known for leading urban projects in cities like Rotterdam, Amsterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven, and Utrecht. Under the motto A Good Neighbourhood For Everyone, VORM operates across the entire construction sector with a focus on affordable, unique homes in liveable, sustainable neighbourhoods.

The company wants to work smarter with suppliers and maintain control over costs, all working with a relatively small team. VORM is on the brink of implementing a brand-new ERP system to support these developments. How can it ensure a successful go-live and, more importantly, adoption of this new system and way of working throughout the company?

Keys to Success

Emixa works from its unique SBOS model, which stands for Strategy-Business Processes-Organisation-System and brings a holistic view to digital transformations. Our team of consultants has guided the implementation of new ERP systems for many construction companies before. We understand the huge impact of implementing an ERP system. Our team guided the go-live process with professional project management and effective change management. We involved the people of VORM before the go-live and trained them in using the new system. We also guided the post-implementation phase and brought all parties to the table to quickly resolve unexpected problems. Emixa proved to be a process partner who guided all changes throughout.

Results

This system has given VORM more control over our administration. Previously, a lot was also recorded decentrally in Excel. Now, all offers, contracts, orders, invoices, etc. are in the system. This saves a lot of manual input and checking work. The planning of engineers, installers, electricians, etc. is also done through the system, which saves our project managers a lot of time spent on calls and emails.

Now that the foundation is in place, VORM can work more data-driven. Can we link the system with that of others to improve our planning? Can we make even better project cost estimates based on past data? With these insights, VORM can make better decisions.

How Construction Company VORM Got in Control of its Projects

"It might be a cliché, but everything depends on how well a new ERP system is used. Emixa has done a great job of guiding that change."
